Helping Ex-Offenders Return to the Community
CRT’s Transitional Case Management services helps ex-offenders to make the transition to sober, crime-free lives in the community after their release from prison.
Weekly case management and drug/alcohol counseling begins in prison, and then continues in the community. CRT helps participants meet basic needs such as acquiring housing, clothing, food, transportation and employment. Both individual and group counseling are available, along with drug testing for up to four months post-release. Staff speaks English and Spanish.
Interested male inmates must:
- Attend an information session in prison
- Get a referral from your DOC counselor
- Write a letter of interest and submit to their DOC Counselor
- Complete the Texas Christian University screening form
- Complete an initial interview form; and interview for the program
Please Note: Only referrals from the Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC) are accepted for this program.
