CRT’s SNAP Outreach Program
CRT’s SNAP Outreach Program helps low-income families apply for SNAP benefits, which will help them purchase food (such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains) they need for good health. Through its outreach efforts, CRT works with local agencies, advocates, employers, community and faith-based organizations, and others to reach out to eligible low-income families who are not currently participating in SNAP and share information about the nutrition benefits of the program and to help them make an informed participation decision.
Eligibility
CRT’s SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Outreach is available to anyone living on a low or fixed income that is currently living in Hartford or Middlesex County. SNAP can put more food on your table for you and your family.
CRT’s SNAP Outreach will:
- Determine your potential eligibility for SNAP benefits
- Assist you with completing the SNAP application
- Submit your SNAP application to the DSS/ConneCT website for you
- Follow up throughout the SNAP process
You will be able to securely access your SNAP account, view information, update information and upload any new documents needed for your DSS benefits through the DSS/ConneCT website.
