Free Meals for Children in ECE Program
CRT’s Early Childhood Education – Infant & Toddler/Preschool Programs
Children enrolled in CRT’s Early Childhood Education programs including infant, toddler and preschool programs receive free, healthy meals and snacks. The breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack follow the nutrition guidelines of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Meals and snacks are high in nutrients and low in added sugar, salt, and fat. Infant formula and baby food are provided based on each baby’s age and feeding abilities. Teachers encourage independent feeding skills. Nutritious foods and encouragement from teaching staff promote healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
