McKinney Shelter

 

Services

McKinney Shelter provides overnight shelter and meals for 88 adult males. Day respite is available for homeless men with medical issues. Along with shelter, McKinney provides a comprehensive case management program including counseling and referral services in areas which affect clients’ lives, such as housing, employment, substance abuse, mental illness, HIV/AIDS issues and other health concerns.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be male, age 18 or older, or emancipated youth in possession of appropriate court documentation. Preference is given to Hartford residents when shelter is at or near capacity. Residents must be ambulatory and able to understand and adhere to shelter rules.

 

Application Process

Self-referrals are accepted. Residents are admitted on a first come first served basis.
