McKinney Shelter Day
Respite Program

 

Services

The CRT McKinney Shelter Day Respite Program provides a stable environment to homeless individuals living with serious medical issues and not able to work. Along with shelter, McKinney Day Respite provides a health screening service (during the school year) and a comprehensive case management program. The case management
includes counseling and referral services in areas which affect clients’ lives, such as:
- Housing
- Employment
- Substance Abuse
- Mental Illness
- Detox
- HIV/AIDS Issues
- Other health concerns.
Breakfast and lunch are also served as part of the program.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be 18 years of age, male, homeless, and living with HIV/AIDS.

 

Application Process

Clients of the McKinney Shelter are referred to the Ryan White Case Manager and registered in the Stay in Log Book. Clients can be referred to the Program from other shelters.
