Services

The CRT Behavioral Health Service offers a medically supervised alternative to inpatient hospitalization and provides a less restrictive form of treatment. It evaluates and treats individuals for a variety of emotional, addictive and behavioral disorders. The program provides an intensive out patient program (IOP), and outpatient psychiatric clinic, and substance abuse treatment services for adults. Length of treatment is a team decision involving the patient, the clinician, the case manager, and the managed care reviewers.

- Intensive Out Patient (IOP)
- Partial Hospital Program (PHP) (Available only at 675 Tower Avenue)
- Out-Patient Counseling, (Individual and families)
- Medication Management
- Psychiatric Services
- Community Based Counseling and Support Groups
- Mental health diagnosis and assessment
- Crisis management
- Hospital discharge planning and after care
- Therapy focused on goal setting, community reintegration, and effective self-expression
- Wrap around care service for additional needs
- Access to Recovery (ATR) payment plan - Treatment to Ryan White Clients

Eligibility Requirements

Clients must be diagnosed with psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders. Clients can reside in Hartford and its surrounding towns and must be 18 years or older.

Application Process

Referrals to PHP and IOP come from inpatient psychiatric units, emergency rooms, the Capital Region Mental Health Center, community primary care practices, and self-referrals from the community itself.

The outpatient clinic referrals come from the professional staff of other CRT programs, community organizations whose clients require outpatient psychiatric services, as well as from the PHP and IOP programs.

Outpatient Services:
8:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Friday
Clinical Services:
8:00am - 4:00 pm Monday, Thursday and Friday
8:00am - 7:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday

PHP: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm, 4 days per week
IOP: 9:00 am – 1:30 pm 2 – 3 days per week
